COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic

If you believe that you have symptoms of COVID-19 please DO NOT come into the surgery.  Stay at home and get advice from NHS 111 online.

We are no longer allowing patients into the surgery without a pre-booked appointment.

If you feel that you need to be seen by a doctor please ring reception and they will book you for a telephone/ Video consultation.  If Dr Doski then feels that he needs to see you he will invite you in for a face to face appointment. Please if possible make sure you have a smart phone available as will be needed for video consultation

PLEASE DO NOT come into the surgery to order or collect prescriptions.  Repeat prescriptions can now be ordered over the phone via the prescription ordering department on 0121 468 0407 and you will be asked to nominate a pharmacy to send your prescription to.

Please note that we have some self testing Covid test that we can provide to our patients who either struggle to get to drive through centers or are housebound or disabled or have language barriers.

PPG (Patient Participation group)

We would like to invite our patient to participate in our patient participation group. This will help us hearing your views and feedbacks about us. if you would like to be part of our group please feel free to call us, email us or drop in for a chat with us.

Dear Patients,

We would like to notify you all of some changes that occurred on the 1st January this year.

Dr Waleed Doski has now taken over the Surgery formally known as Ley Hill Health Centre in Northfield. The address is 101 Holloway, Northfield, B31 1TR. He still remains the GP Partner and Principal for Bournville Surgery.

In the first instance we would like to introduce Dr Ellis Hamilton who will be clinically managing the Ley Hill HC on a daily basis, with the support of Natalie Hatfield the new Operational Manager.

We anticipate that there won’t be many changes for patients but there may be the odd occasion whereby you may be asked to visit either of the sites for your treatment if we are unable to accommodate you as quickly as we would have liked. This of course isn’t a mandatory proposal for patients, but it may help alleviate some of the access issues that we have all struggled with throughout the pandemic.

Our next Patient Participation Group meeting is planned for 10.03.2022, but in the meantime if you have any queries or questions please could you contact Bounville Surgery on their e-mail address which is : nhsbsolccg.bournville.surgery@nhs.net.

Both practices are of course, more than happy to receive any comments that you may have around this new venture.
